Mr. Ariga Asoka Reddy has contested as a MPTC from Tumuluru since Munnagi MPTC was reserved for OC - Women. Mr. Asoka Reddy was elected as a Kollipara Mandal President from Congress (I) party.

Mr. Alla Nauroji Reddy has contested for Tenali Lokshabha constuency (MP) as a Bharathiya Janatha Party (BJP) candidate and has lost the election. Mr. Nauroji Reddy was in third place after Umareddy Venkateswarlu (48%) and Singam Basavapunnaiah (46%) and got 25,434 votes (5%)

Mr. Kondamudi Adams has contested for Tenali Lokshabha constuency (MP) as a Janatha Party candidate and has lost the election. Mr. Adams was in third place after Meduri Nageswara Rao (48%) and Lavu Bala Ganagadhara Rao (33%) and got 66,922 votes (15%).

Mr. Bonthu Gopala Reddy (Late) did not loose his interest and has contested again for Duggirala Assembly as a Congress candidate. This time it was an easy victory (36,789 votes and 68%) over Pasupuleti Krishna Murthy (father of Dr. PVK Rao).
